Alessandro Michele, the creative director behind every Cruise collection of Gucci has confirmed his location for Gucci Cruise 2019 runway show.
New York’s Dia Art Foundation, Westminister Abbey’s cloisters in London and Palazzo Pitti’s Palatina Gallery in Florence were all held by Alessandro Michele. Alyscamps is located at a very short distance from Arles, France and will the next destination for Gucci Cruise 2019 collection on 30th May, 2018.
Alyscamps Roman necropolis has been classified as UNESCO World Heritage site in 1981 and it is very rare to see a fashion show to be held at an ancient cemetery as its location.
“To feel the contemporary, I need to know that something was there before. I need to touch it,” Michele told Vogue’s Sarah Mower in September.
